To Blog or Not To Blog?

Don't get your hopes up, I'm not considering shutting down the blog.

I'm actually trying to decide whether to blog while on vacation in California. The other day I got a USB Wireless Adapter for my laptop, so it should be pretty convenient to get online while I'm out there. I just don't know if it's a good idea.

I'd love to chronicle our trip and share with all of you the fun we're having there. But, do you think there's a risk of wasting valuable vacation time on blogging?

Let me know whether you think I should vacation blog or take a blog vacation! Thanks.

it'd be good to serve as a journal, especially for your kids. unless, of course, you or your wife keeps a journal, then it'd be twice the work.
personally, i'd love for you to blog your trip, either during or after. i'd love to live vicariously as we don't have a family vacation planned this summer.

don't do it. As much as I would love to see your vacation, it's YOUR family time. Don't take your computer! :)

I'm a big fan of the blogcation when on vacation. It's not just about the break from blogging, it's also about the internet break. I still take my computer for directions to restaurants and such.
You can always do some post trip reports.

When I've gone on vacation, I don't make it a priority to blog. If I have time and want to, great, but it's at the end of the line of my priorities...so basically I plan to do no posts, so there's no obligation. DP's got a good point...getting away from the computer overall is more of a challenge for me than not blogging.

I agree with Kalyn! Enjoy your vacation & share it with us when you get back!

Take a blog vacation! Give the gift of undivided time and attention to your wife and kids! And fill us all in when you return!
