Daily Design #1

Introducing a new series: Daily Design

Since I spend most days designing things, I'm going to share them with you. Hopefully, you'll feel free to give me your honest feedback because that would be very helpful to me. Trust me, I will not be offended if you tell me you don't like something. Also, I will try hard not to get a big head if you tell me you like something.

So, to kick things off, here's an announcement slide for a class here at NMC. I used a color theme from Kuler called iridescent hot. Let me know what you think!
*Edit: By the way, GI 101 is a class designed to introduce NMC's Global Impact (missions) ministry to anyone interested in being part of a Global Impact team.

kuler is a kewl feature. i wouldn't have thought to put the green and red together like that. interesting. the red really pops, as red is known to do. i hope there is more info available at the same time this graphic is flashing, since i have no idea what this is for ... but, then again, i don't go to ur church, so it probably isn't meant for me as the target audience, eh?

Great design, but I'd suggest trying the latitude lines both curving the same way. The current way, the globes look like sports equipment.
Longitude normally appears to curve opposite, but latitude always is pretty "equidistant". Might help eliminate some confusion.
